Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join ABC Nursery at their Headington setting as a Level 2 Apprentice Nursery Assistant.
ABC Nursery is a homely setting in Headington, Oxford that provides all year-round childcare for children aged birth to 5. We have a 5* rated kitchen along with a baby room and preschool, peaceful spacious outdoors and a long serving experienced team.
We offer stimulating quality playrooms and outdoor spaces that foster children’s curiosity to support their early years learning and development. Our natural areas offer flowers, plants, mud kitchen and sand pit providing sights, sounds and smells for children to explore. Our hard court and soft matting areas offer a giant playhouse, building blocks, water and messy play and balls and trikes. Every day is packed with fun and learning experiences.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Shadow and support the key members of the team
- Assist in mealtimes / hand washing personal hygiene
- Helping with the daily activities
- Taking on the role of being part of the nursery in every possible way, learn how the team implement the day to day running and routines that the children follow.
Requirements
- You must be able to gain a clear DBS
- You ideally will have GCSE Grades A*-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills
Hours
- ABC Nursery are open from 07.30am to 17.30pm Monday to Friday
- Working hours will be a minimum of 25 hours per week and shift patterns will be discussed.
