About The Nursery Manager Role: Do you have Early Years Leadership experience and are looking for a fresh new challenge? As a Nursery Manager, you’ll help create a safe, educational, and fun environment for the children in our care. You’ll supervise children, ensure their safety, and organise activities such as games, crafts, and educational tasks. Tops Prince Rock Nursery is a 42‑place Day Nursery & Pre‑School situated in Plymouth. The nursery runs several extra‑curricular activities including cooking school, Boogie Mites, yoga, tooth‑brushing and more.

What does the role involve?
- Manage nursery settings effectively
- Communicate excellently with children, staff, and parents
- Plan engaging, educational activities creatively
- Foster a secure, happy environment with a positive attitude
- Interview potential candidates
- Maintain the nursery budget
- Coordinate marketing materials and campaigns
- Oversee facility and equipment maintenance
- Provide updates to parents on child progress and behaviour
- Handle enrolment, payment, and policy enquiries

What are we looking for?
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification
- Solid knowledge of the EYFS
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures

- Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (you may need to cover the cost)
- Be eligible to work in regulated roles – not on the Children’s Barred List
- Successfully complete background and reference checks
