Working as part of, and in support of the Shift Management team, you will be actively seeking to improve overall standards, productivity & morale of the shift.Responsibilities:Supervise the early shift of up to 40 colleaguesMake H&S the principal focus of everyone in your team, ensuring that our colleagues operate safely in a safe working environmentPromote Colleague engagement, motivation & well being.Determine staffing levels across operational tasks and assign workloadIdentify areas of improvement and suggest innovative improvements or adjust existing work procedures and practiceMeasure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performanceManage resource to budgetAchieve high levels of customer satisfaction by driving improvements in pick accuracy and damage reduction.Work collaboratively with other departments and business units to deliver excellent service to our customers.The Person:Previous experience of leading teams within a logistics environment.Able to display effective supervisory skills and techniquesKnowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiencyAbility to input, retrieve and analyse dataHands-on commitment to getting the job doneExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to direct and coordinate operationsStrong organisational and time management skillsIn a culture where hard work is recognised and great results are rewarded, you can look forward to a company bonus that will give you a share of our success - up to 20% of your base salary.
