After delivering our 20% market share goal of "one in five" in 2023, we have launched our new goal - Mission 365 - targeting £365 million of sales. We are currently looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our Logistics team! Reporting into our Transport Manager this role will support and engage our night drivers. This position is working Sunday to Thursday, 10pm - 6am.
The Role:
- Complete robust briefing/debriefing process with Drivers
- Ensure the distribution fleet is well maintained at all times & legally compliant
- Ensure Drivers are managed to work within the Drivers hours and working time regulations
- Be the main point of contact for Transport related issues on the night shift
- Supervise the yard shunter where required
- Count loads and enter weight and volume information to create load manifests
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to make the loading of vehicles as smooth as possible
- Planning of delivery routes for the following night
- Other Transport related tasks
The Person:
- Previous Transport supervisor / admin experience
- Good understanding of road transport and Driver's hours legislation
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate standard
- A strong team player
- Confident to challenge and push back when necessary
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
- Experience of route planning advantageous
