The predicted salary is between 12 - 12 £ per hour.

Aged 21 and above: £12.71 per hour plus personal sales commission.

Working in retail as a Sales Assistant (known internally as a Service Specialist!) is genuinely different at Topps Tiles. As a key member of a small, supportive team, you'll help customers visualise their projects and find exactly what they need to make their vision a reality.
You won't just serve at a till. You'll become a specialist, developing real sales skills by using a consultative approach - asking great questions and understanding customer needs. Every conversation is a chance to influence, inspire, sell and create an exceptional experience that keeps customers coming back. And unlike many retail roles, you won't work late evenings - plus you'll enjoy three days off at Christmas.
What you'll be doing:
- Building long-standing relationships with regular trade and retail customers through a consultative sales approach.
- Asking the right questions to understand customer needs so you can confidently recommend the best products.
- Using your creativity to inspire customers with colour, style, layout and design ideas.
- Driving sales through expert product knowledge.
- Confidently closing sales and maximising every opportunity.
No experience? No problem. You don't need to know anything about tiles - or even retail. If you're outgoing, friendly, energetic and don't mind lifting heavy boxes, we'll give you all the training you need, including developing your sales confidence and skills through our simple, customer-first sales framework.
