A highly analytical and detail-orientated Financial Analyst with strong excel and Power BI modelling expertise to support financial planning, reporting, forecasting and business decision-making. Responsible for building and maintaining financial models, automate reporting processes, develop dashboards and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES:
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS & MODELLING
- Build, develop and maintain complex financial models, reporting systems and planning tools to support efficient and effective financial processes, either through excel, Power BI or other relevant tools
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and planning processes, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency.
- Drive the adoption of automation to enhance reporting capability and integrity, including the use of AI.
- Develop high-quality reporting packs for senior leaders, providing clear commentary on financial performance, key trends and operational drivers.
- Design and maintain financial dashboards, KPIs and metrics that support consistent and effective performance monitoring across the Group.
- Deliver robust financial modelling and analytical support to inform investment decisions, efficiency initiatives and strategic projects.
- Support wider finance team with modelling capabilities to streamline current processes.
- Support senior leadership with ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.
PEOPLE/ LEADERSHIP
- Promote best practice in reporting, analysis and financial planning, ensuring consistent standards across the team
- Excel/Power BI/AI superuser for finance – upskilling finance team members.
RISK/ PROCESS
- Ensuring all financial models are supported by process notes/explanations and have built in checks/protection where appropriate – ensuring model integrity and adherence to modelling best practices.
- Support the development of data governance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential
- Previous financial modelling and reporting experience with a strong focus on automation and continuous improvement.
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills.
- Strong Power BI development experience
- Experience building financial and operational models.
- A curious mindset with AI capabilities and a desire to develop those skills further
- Experience working with large datasets and data warehouses.
- Excellent commercial and analytical skills.
- Data visualisation and storytelling capability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Previous FP&A experience
- Retail/multi-site experience
- Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business or related Bachelor’s degree.
