Topps Tiles has an ambitious, dynamic, multi-million-pound retail business. The Support Office in Leicester brings together Finance, Marketing, Buying, Central Operations, HR, Property, Customer Service and IT under one roof, working closely to drive results. We recently achieved a 20% market share and are now targeting £365 million of sales under Mission 365.

As a member of the finance team, you will work with the Accounts Transaction Processing Manager and others to administer key financial processes and ensure timely information.

  • Customer / Strategy / Plan: Work with the Accounts Transaction Processing Manager and the finance team to administer key financial processes and provide timely information. Ensure supplier invoices are processed efficiently and settled to agreed timescales and terms. Achieve completion of supplier invoicing in accordance with the month-end accounting timetable.
  • Financial / Commercial: Liaise with other departments to ensure purchase ledgers are processed and closed within the agreed timetable. Process payments for purchase ledger within the agreed terms.
  • Risk and Process: Follow the company’s documented processes around financial controls, highlighting and investigating any deviations for remediation by the Accounts Transaction Processing Manager.
  • Stakeholders: Rest of the Finance Team, External providers – Suppliers, Customers, Other central functions, Stores & field based colleagues.

The Person

  • Essential Requirements: Good working knowledge of accounting systems – General Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable Requirements: Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Dynamics, Cortina experience, Multi-currency invoice matching, Intermediate level or above experience of using MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
