Role Responsibility:
We are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our team. This is a hands-on, high-touch role where you will work closely with managers and employees across the business, providing practical HR support and guidance. You will play a key role in delivering an excellent employee experience while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Administration and Reporting: Deliver end-to-end HR administrative support, including onboarding new joiners, maintaining employee records, issuing documentation, and supporting all employee lifecycle changes. Prepare and analyse HR metrics and reports, including absence, turnover, and employee engagement data, to support decision-making.
- Employee Engagement and Support: Act as a visible and approachable HR presence, building strong relationships across all areas of the business. Provide timely, practical support and guidance to employees on a wide range of HR queries and concerns. Support the delivery of HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, promote a positive culture, and improve organisational performance. Collaborate and support the training team to develop and deliver HR-related training.
- Employee Relations: Advise and support managers on employee relations matters, including absence, investigations, disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues. Support the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to exit, ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience. Provide clear guidance on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across the organisation. Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice.
- Recruitment and Selection: Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews via the recruitment system.
- Performance Management: Provide guidance on managing underperformance and ensure consistent application of performance management processes.
The Ideal Candidate:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent professional experience)
- Good working knowledge and understanding of UK Employment Law and HR best practice
- Experience of advising and influencing senior leaders on people-related matters
- Practical experience supporting managers to improve people management capability and performance
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the region
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
