Role Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who will work alongside and support our dynamic Commercial team.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Managing Quantity Surveyor in preparing, maintaining and processing financial and project transactions.
- Assist in compiling all required reports and schedules, and perform general commercial administrative tasks, including filing, managing emails and following up on communications.
- Manage and analyse project variations, including any claims for loss and expense.
- Assist with carrying out interim valuations; value completed works and apply for payments.
- Support in providing accurate, real-time monthly reports (Cost Value Reconciliations) and forecasts for final outcomes.
- Assist with analysis of project costs and preparation of monthly cost reports and commentary for any variance.
- Attend site meetings with clients and contractors as required for initial survey and project development.
- Support the Commercial and Sales team with administrative tasks and other ad-hoc responsibilities.
Ideal Candidate
Whilst previous experience is desirable, candidates should have some knowledge of the role of a QS, an analytical mind and an interest in the construction industry.
