The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 Β£ per year.

The PPM is responsible for liaising with clients and printers, providing internal instruction to modify artwork so that the final print will meet (as close as possible) with the original design intent, across multiple packaging types and print processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reference applicable Trident generic and customer specific standard working practices (SWP).
  • Assess new designs, liaising with the client, printer and tooling supplier to agree artwork changes/separation approach, based on the chosen print process. Specification of tooling requirements to be outlined (if required).
  • Lead print production meetings using print knowledge to advise designer/client what is achievable at final print.
  • Work in conjunction with all other areas of the business to ensure that artwork is generated in the most effective and timely manner possible.
  • Consider and facilitate the most appropriate communication channels internally and externally; face to face, conference call, phone, email etc. to strengthen and maintain the client relationship.

Financials:

  • Consider the impact of commercial decisions, highlighting ways to optimise profitability and contribution level to the Client Service Manager.

People:

  • Coach, mentor and support the development of new members of the PPM team, in accordance with client account requirements and applicable SWP.
  • Support and develop Artworkers with technical instructions to apply reprographics/colour separation with minimum PPM input.

Process:

  • Support the Management team through the investigation of process improvements & print related quality investigations.
  • Maintain client brand targets, colour standards, print specifications (in Zen), printer qualifications & PPM technical records.
  • Provide clear and accurate post-print analysis (both measured & visual).
  • Utilise technology available within Trident (i.e Color Cert & Spectrophotometer) to support the review of print materials and simplify the PPM role.

Nature & Scope:

  • Interacts across teams with multiple disciplines at all levels.
  • Very regular external client interaction.
  • Engage with colleagues and customers across the region.

Level of Responsibility:

  • Is expected to work across departments and skillsets to ensure a collaborative and consistent approach to delivering products for/to our customers.

Decision-Making Authority:

  • Supports the Client Service Manager and Production Manager so they can implement decisions relating to the relevant client and team.
  • Collaborates with the internal teams regarding issues that may impact the client.

Physical and Sensory Demands:

  • Extensive DSE (Display Screen Equipment) use.

Working Environment:

  • Typical office working environment.
  • Minor flexibility in hours to meet our clients and colleagues within the appropriate time zones.
  • Regional business travel as needed.

Education Required:

  • Further education qualification.

Experience:

  • Experience within the print/reprographics industry.
  • 3+ years relevant experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
