About the Role
A Healthcare provider is seeking an experienced and energetic individual to work within the Emergency Department (ED) & Acute Medicine services at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. The role involves working between the Emergency Department and the Acute Assessment Unit. It requires strong occupational therapy skills across a range of specialties, including cardiorespiratory, orthopedics, medical, and neurology.
Key duties include:
- Working flexibly between the ED and Acute Medicine areas.
- Managing complex rehabilitation of patients.
- Demonstrating discharge planning skills and working autonomously under pressure.
The role would suit a Physiotherapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) with an interest and experience in acute medicine or related areas.
Essential Qualifications
We are looking for a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with:
- Degree: Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy degree (BSc) or diploma.
- HCPC Registration.
- NHS Acute Experience.
- Head Injury Assessment and Treatment Skills for OT / Respiratory Assessment and Treatment Skills for Physio.
- Experience in acute medicine, cardiorespiratory, orthopaedics, and neurology.
Desirable Skills
- CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) membership.
- Experience in ICU.
