Client: Lancashire Care
Role: Mental Health Nurse
Rates: £19.43 - £33.43 per hour
Shifts: Flexible hours, with shifts available throughout the day, night, and weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care and rehabilitation for mental health patients
- Develop individualised support plans tailored to each patient
- Arrange ongoing, long-term support for patients leaving care
- Build trusting relationships with patients to put them at ease
- Offer advice and reassurance through active listening
- Work closely with other mental healthcare professionals to determine the best treatment plans
- Support relatives and carers with advice and guidance
- Maintain up-to-date medical records
- Perform physical health checks such as vital statistics monitoring and blood tests
- Administer medications as required
- Promote mental health initiatives and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health
- Stay up to date with mental health best practices and latest theories
