Main Duties & Responsibilities
As a Band 5 Registered Nurse with St Helen\’s & Knowsley, you will:
- Provide constant monitoring and care for seriously ill or unstable patients
- Support emergency admissions, planned admissions, and post-surgery patients
- Communicate clinical information effectively with patients and families
- Safely identify, prepare, check, and assemble equipment for relevant procedures
- Adhere to the NMC professional Code of Conduct
- Conduct patient observations (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and oxygen level)
- Take blood samples and fit cannulas as required
- Write care plans, perform assessments, and make referrals
- Organise admissions and discharges
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
- Registered Nurse
- At least 2 years post-graduate experience
- 6 months recent NHS experience (within the last 3 years)
- Enhanced background check clearance
