Role: Band 5 Registered Nurse
Rates: £20.00 – £34.00 per hour
Shifts: Flexible hours, with shifts available throughout the day, night, and weekends

Main Duties & Responsibilities

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse with St Helen\’s & Knowsley, you will:

  • Provide constant monitoring and care for seriously ill or unstable patients
  • Support emergency admissions, planned admissions, and post-surgery patients
  • Communicate clinical information effectively with patients and families
  • Safely identify, prepare, check, and assemble equipment for relevant procedures
  • Adhere to the NMC professional Code of Conduct
  • Conduct patient observations (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and oxygen level)
  • Take blood samples and fit cannulas as required
  • Write care plans, perform assessments, and make referrals
  • Organise admissions and discharges

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse
  • At least 2 years post-graduate experience
  • 6 months recent NHS experience (within the last 3 years)
  • Enhanced background check clearance
