Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid Sales Manager role based from home or Ilminster. The Sales Manager will oversee and grow trade accounts, develop new business opportunities, and manage the sales pipeline for glass and glazing products. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with existing and prospective customers, preparing quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring accurate order processing. The role involves close collaboration with production and logistics teams to confirm lead times, maintain product knowledge, and support delivery of customer projects. The Sales Manager will also analyze sales performance, contribute to sales forecasts, and support strategic initiatives to expand market share in the south-west of England.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in B2B sales, preferably within construction, building materials, or related manufacturing sectors.
- Strong account management and business development skills, including building long-term customer relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Proficiency in negotiation, pricing, and contract discussions, with the ability to close deals and meet revenue targets.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, including managing multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
- Comfort with using CRM systems and basic IT tools (email, spreadsheets, presentations) to track activities and report on performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical product information clearly to trade customers.
- Knowledge of glass and glazing products or construction industry standards is highly beneficial; willingness to learn technical details is essential.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid office/home environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites within the region as needed.
