Job Responsibilities
- To recognise the importance of a first impression and represent Topgolf in a friendly and professional manner in every interaction, be it on the telephone, in writing, or face to face with our Players.
- To have an extensive knowledge of all areas within the department.
- To support with any pre-shift briefs within the department.
- Monitor the quality of service within your department, paying special attention to speed of service.
- Practice Clue Scanning to protect the Player experience.
- Support with any audits, stock counts or reviews for the department, reporting any issues to the manager on duty or head of department.
- Follow and monitor safety standards, escalating any contraventions where appropriate.
- Ensure that department walk rounds are completed prior to opening/after closing to ensure the department is correctly opened/shut down.
- Feedback to wider management.
- Ensuring shift goals, set by management are delivered to playmakers; supporting any initiatives to reach and exceed them.
- To actively support Playmakers on the floor, ensuring the needs of the department Players are met at all times and they have the tools needed to succeed.
- To assist the HOD and training managers with any training and development of the team, participating and helping with any training classes where required.
- To respond to all issues with the Players experience promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to their Topgolf experience.
- To take pride in personal appearance reflecting the Topgolf brand, ensuring correct uniform is worn on every shift.
- To take responsibility for own health, safety and wellbeing; and that of Players and other playmakers; ensuring compliance with Topgolf’s Health and Safety policy, procedures and safe systems of work. This includes delivering a full safety briefing during bay demonstrations.
- Communicate any player issues/behaviours that could potentially cause a Health and Safety issue for players and/or playmakers.
- To participate in training, performance development reviews and any other communication meetings required for your role and for helping to deliver excellent player hospitality.
- To ensure full compliance with all Topgolf policies.
Critical Skills & Experience Requirements
- Previous customer service experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is required.
- Previous leadership experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol where required by law.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
