Role Description
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in commercial premises, including offices, schools, and post-construction or end-of-tenancy sites. Day-to-day tasks may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning restrooms and kitchens, emptying bins, and replenishing supplies. The role also involves following health and safety guidelines, using cleaning equipment correctly, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues. The Cleaner may work independently or as part of a team and is expected to be punctual, reliable, and professional when interacting with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing in commercial settings.
- Understanding of basic health and safety practices, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability, time management skills, and the ability to follow schedules and instructions.
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients, supervisors, and team members.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move equipment as required for cleaning tasks.
- Previous experience in commercial, school, or end-of-tenancy cleaning is beneficial but not mandatory.
