Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices
- Process and prepare monthly management accounts
- Assist internal and external auditors with queries
- Assist in maintaining an organized finance department, ensuring records are stored and maintained appropriately
- Conduct regular GL account reviews on payables and receivables
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
- Assist in year‑end processes
- Provide cover to the Finance Manager as required
- Reconcile spending with budget and analyze costs
- Assist with regional tasks when required
- Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation
- Maintain a good working relationship with other departments and the regional finance team
- Work within the confines of the General Data Protection Regulations, respecting data subjects’ rights and ensuring personal data is processed in accordance with the Company’s Data Protection Policy
- Assist in other areas of the company’s operations (within capabilities) and other duties as required
Qualifications
- Account management experience with an understanding of accounting principles and practices
- AAT qualified or partially qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent experience
- IT literate with strong working knowledge of Excel and sound experience using finance systems
- Strong analytical and demonstrable numerical skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and to tight deadlines
