We're looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our UK Sales Operations team. You'll be the operational backbone that turns enquiries & quotes into orders, ensures accuracy across the sales cycle and resolves issues before they emerge.
What You'll Do
- Manage the complete sales cycle from initial customer enquiry through to final delivery and beyond, working collaboratively with your team to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Order and quote management: Process orders from customers and internal teams, generate quotes through approval workflows, proactively chase follow‑ups, and ensure every purchase order is handled accurately and on time to meet financial targets.
- Customer coordination: Act as the primary contact for customers on installation scheduling, order changes, tender documentation, payment queries, and technical document requests. Keep customers informed and confident throughout the process.
- Supply chain & delivery: Proactively source stock, coordinate allocations, liaise with departments on availability and shipping dates, and ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Installation coordination: Book installations with customers, schedule the right engineers (IT, equipment, or both), and make sure everyone on‑site knows what’s happening.
- Problem solving: Handle day‑to‑day issues from customers, engineers, and sales managers – returns, queries, order discrepancies, and anything else that needs sorting.
- Cross‑functional liaison: Work with sales managers, finance, supply chain, technical support, and external third parties to keep operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
- 3‑5 years’ experience in sales operations, order management, or commercial coordination – ideally in a B2B or technical product environment, where you've managed the full order‑to‑delivery process.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership – you don’t wait to be told what to do; you see what needs fixing and handle it.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, across customers, internal teams, and external partners. You can be diplomatic when needed and direct when necessary.
- Systems proficiency – comfortable with Excel, CRM platforms, and order management systems. You can learn new systems quickly and work effectively within them.
- Team player – you’ll be working collaboratively with colleagues doing the same role, supporting each other during busy periods and sharing knowledge.
- Fluent English required.
