Topcliffe School is looking for a caring and highly motivated Teaching Assistant experienced in Early Years with SEND, to support pupils with ASC in our Early Years or KS1 Resource Base classes.

Responsibilities

  • Work within Early Years or KS1 Resource Base classes, supporting pupils with SEND.
  • Provide support to pupils with Autism and complex communication and sensory needs.
  • Use a variety of communication tools and strategies to support children with limited verbal communication.
  • Aim to achieve the best outcomes for all pupils, maintaining high expectations.

Requirements & Skills

  • Experienced in working within Early Years and/or SEND provision, understanding benefits of play.
  • Inclusive practitioner with experience supporting children with Autism and complex communication/sensory needs.
  • Passionate about making a difference, thinking creatively to support children with limited verbal communication.
  • Effective practitioner with high expectations to achieve best outcomes.
  • Positive, creative team player.
