An exceptional opportunity awaits a talented Head Chef to lead the culinary operations of a brand-new venture in a prime location in Soho, London, brought to you by an internationally renowned hospitality group with a global presence.
About the Company:
This award-winning international travel and lifestyle brand boasts a diverse portfolio of exceptional resorts and experiences across the UK, Europe, Asia, and beyond. Committed to delivering outstanding hospitality and creating memorable moments, this new establishment in the heart of London represents an exciting expansion of their culinary offerings in a key global city.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Head Chef to take the helm of our innovative new establishment in Soho. This unique venue will house two distinct restaurant concepts operating from a shared, state-of-the-art kitchen. The first will be an Italian restaurant open to the public, offering a taste of authentic Italian cuisine. The second concept will provide a “global sharing experience” within a stylish, members-only setting. This presents a fantastic opportunity for a chef with a broad culinary range and a passion for creating impactful dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will be instrumental in defining the culinary direction for both concepts, leading a dedicated kitchen team, and establishing this new venue as a must-visit destination in Soho. This role reports to the General Manager of the establishment and the Regional Executive Chef.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all culinary operations for both the public-facing Italian restaurant and the members-only “global sharing experience” concept.
- Develop and execute innovative and high-quality menus that cater to the distinct identities of both dining experiences.
- Maintain exceptional culinary standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in all dishes.
- Effectively manage kitchen costs, including food and labor, and contribute to the overall profitability of the food and beverage operations (P&L and Cost Controls).
- Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure adherence to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships.
- Collaborate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of current culinary trends and the competitive London restaurant landscape.
The Ideal Candidate:
- You possess significant experience in a high-quality and fast-paced culinary environment, ideally within the competitive London market.
- You have a strong culinary foundation and demonstrable experience across a range of cuisines, with a particular affinity for Italian and global flavors.
- You are either an established Head Chef looking for a new challenge or a highly skilled and ambitious Sous Chef ready to take the next step in your career.
- You are a self-starter, highly motivated, and passionate about making a significant impact on London’s culinary scene.
- You possess strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a successful kitchen brigade.
- You have a solid understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Experience within private members clubs or similar high-end establishments would be advantageous.
Benefits and Perks:
- Highly competitive salary, plus performance-based bonuses.
- Yearly contract with a strong emphasis on long-term career growth and longevity within the company.
- The chance to be part of an exciting new opening in a prime Soho location.
- The opportunity to shape the culinary identity of two distinct restaurant concepts.
- Be part of a globally recognized and expanding hospitality company.
- Potential opportunities for intercompany travel and culinary competitions within the wider group.
