Automation Test Analyst in Horwich

Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday (Flexible start times between 8am-10am). Remote working with 2-4 days on site per month in our Bolton office.

The role

As an Automation Test Analyst in our QA team, you will predominantly focus on creating and continuing to build upon the success of automation testing suites. You will also be required to work within the QA function in a hybrid manual and automation test capacity with a primary focus on furthering the automation solution within the team to ensure that accuracy, usability, and performance of our website, mobile apps, and other various products are usable for our members. This role is ideal for someone with experience in manual testing and automation testing and eager to learn, grow, and be excited to work in an environment with lots of different products to support.

Your experience should be coupled with a passion to work well on your own as well as with others in the wider teams both remotely and in the office where required to ensure the focus is on providing the best quality that can be achieved as a testing team and for TopCashback and its users. We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join the Test Team develop their skills within this role, which include contributing to refinement sessions, estimations and writing and executing test cases and raising any issues that may arise while using our platform with the focus being on providing the best quality that can be achieved as a testing team.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain our automation test suites following a defined structure and standard.
• Identifying areas where automation will be appropriate and can be scaled across regions.
• When needed execute manual test cases on all of TopCashback's web and mobile platforms with an end goal of automating said tests.
• Test end-to-end journeys with successful happy and unhappy path scenarios.
• Validate functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and various testing functions.
• Reporting bugs, and document clear, detailed defect reports using Jira tooling.
• Collaborate with Testers, Developers, Technical Leads and Project Managers to understand feature requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Support release cycles by conducting pre-deployment checks and post-release verification.

Requirements:

• 2+ years working experience in an Automation Testing role using Selenium.
• Ability to read, write and execute Automation test.
• Demonstrating Manual Testing disciplines and processes.
• Attention to detail.
• Problem Solving skills.
• Time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to interact and communicate clearly and well across multiple teams.
• A willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing methods.
• Ability to react to change quickly and effectively around releases and processes.
