The Joinery CAD Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tamworth, focusing on producing accurate CAD drawings and technical documentation for bespoke joinery projects, working closely with the design and workshop teams. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Developing detailed construction drawings
- Refining designs based on client and production feedback
- Ensuring all drawings meet structural, functional, and aesthetic requirements
- Translating concepts into buildable designs
- Coordinating with carpenters
- Maintaining organized drawing files and revisions
- Reviewing measurements
- Supporting material take-offs
- Contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and workflows
Qualifications:
- Strong technical drawing and general drawing skills for detailed joinery and construction documentation
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools relevant to joinery and architectural detailing
- Experience creating and interpreting construction drawings for bespoke carpentry and joinery projects
- Background in design engineering or related disciplines, with the ability to translate design concepts into practical solutions
- Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and strong spatial awareness
