Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator to oversee the MDS process, ensure accurate clinical assessments, and support reimbursement optimisation within the facility. Strong candidates will maintain compliance with state and federal regulations while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to support quality resident care and operational performance. Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 USD/Annually

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and complete MDS assessments in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Ensure timely and accurate MDS submissions
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams on care planning
- Support Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement optimisation
- Monitor documentation accuracy and compliance standards
- Participate in audits, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain current knowledge of CMS guidelines and reimbursement practices
- Assist with care plan development and resident assessment coordination
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation to support reimbursement and compliance objectives
- Communicate effectively with facility leadership and clinical staff regarding assessment updates and requirements
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Previous MDS experience within skilled nursing or long-term care settings
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, CMS regulations, and reimbursement processes
- Excellent organisational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively
