This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of transport operations, drivers, fleet compliance, and depot activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational performance while developing and leading a high-performing transport team.
The Role
As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the transport operation runs safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while maintaining full compliance with all transport legislation and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transport operations, including vehicle and driver allocation
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company policies
- Manage depot resources and operational requirements
- Lead driver recruitment and retention activities
- Provide strong people management, coaching, and performance support
- Monitor fleet maintenance and vehicle availability
- Drive operational improvements and efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with EU Drivers' Hours, WTD, and Tachograph Regulations
- Support the continued growth and development of the transport team
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within a Transport Management role
- International or National CPC Holder
- Strong knowledge of EU Drivers' Hours, WTD, and Tachograph legislation
- IT Literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work within a fast-paced operational environment
