HGV Class 1 ADR Driver – Nights – Wolverhampton Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands – WV1 Shift: Nights – Monday to Saturday Morning Hours: 50+ hours per week Job Type: HGV Class 1 / LGV Category C+E Pay: £17.02 About the Role Top Tier Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 ADR Driver for an established client within the industrial gas and logistics sector, based in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ADR driver looking for regular night work, with 50+ hours available per week. The role involves the safe transportation, delivery and collection of gas cylinders between depots, docks and designated locations. We are looking for a professional, reliable and safety-conscious driver who takes pride in their work and maintains high driving standards. Key Responsibilities Safely transport, deliver and collect gas cylinders. Complete deliveries and collections at manned and unmanned depots, docks and designated sites. Ensure compliance with EU drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph legislation. Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate driving records. Report incidents, near misses and safety concerns promptly. Maintain excellent communication with the transport planning team. Operate a counterbalance forklift truck following training, including changing forks and gas bottles where required. Maintain high driving performance standards. Complete all required site inductions and specialist training. Follow strict health and safety procedures at all times. Essential Requirements Valid LGV Category C+E (Class 1) licence held for a minimum of 3 years. Valid ADR qualification covering gas cylinders (Class 2 gases). Minimum 24 months of relevant HGV driving experience within the previous 5 years. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Maximum 3 penalty points. No current or historical DR10 or CU80 convictions. No at-fault vehicle incidents within the previous 24 months. Good understanding of EU drivers' hours and Working Time Directive regulations. Willingness to undertake specialist safety and operational training. Ability to work independently and follow strict safety procedures. Willingness to train in counterbalance forklift operation. Specialist Training Provided SMITH System defensive driving. Rollover and skid control. Counterbalance forklift truck training. Site-specific safety inductions. Specialist operational and safety training. Vehicle safety and fatigue prevention equipment training.
