This is a senior, relationship-led PPM sales role. We are seeking an experienced PPM sales professional with an established M&E maintenance network in the South East area who already operates in the market, builds relationships early, and secures work as contracts naturally come to an end. This is a high-trust, high-accountability role. Performance is measured by outcomes, professionalism, and results.
You will manage your own diary and territory, with the expectation that approximately 4 days per week will be spent meeting clients and developing relationships on-site. One day per week will be spent working from the Chelmsford office.
The Role
- Winning new full M&E PPM contracts (approximately 80% of your time)
- Retaining and growing existing PPM clients (approximately 20%)
- Leveraging your existing relationships with end-user decision-makers
- Meeting clients on site to assess assets, access equipment required and identify compliance gaps.
- Managing the front end of the sale through to contract award
- Providing a thorough handover to the operations team to ensure successful delivery
Leads will come from:
- Your existing M&E PPM relationships
- The current E&S client base
- Inbound enquiries
There is no cold outreach requirement.
What Success Looks Like
This role reflects the reality of M&E PPM contract cycles.
- Year 1
- Build a strong, qualified pipeline of end-user prospects
- Secure new PPM contracts covering at least twice your base salary
- Establish trusted relationships ahead of contract expiry dates
- Convert pipeline opportunities as clients exit existing contracts
- Generate PPM revenue covering a minimum of five times base salary
- Demonstrate consistent, relationship-led wins across the South East
- Build a high-quality, recurring PPM client base
- Contribute to long-term business profitability
- Benefit from company-wide profit share aligned to performance
This is a long-term sales role, not a short-term transactional position.

This role will suit someone who:
- Has proven experience selling M&E PPM contracts
- Brings an existing network of end-user maintenance decision-makers
- Understands how PPM contracts are structured, priced, and delivered
- Is commercially aware and sells responsibly
- Is self-managed, organised, and outcome-focused
- Is comfortable being field-based, with one day per week in the Chelmsford office
- Has no conflicting personal or external commitments that interfere with availability, focus, or responsiveness
This Role Is Not For You If
- You rely on cold calling to generate leads
- You do not already sell M&E PPM contracts
- You prefer short-term, high-pressure sales environments
- You avoid site visits or technical discussions
- You require heavy supervision or low accountability
What We Offer
£45,000 – £60,000 base salary, negotiable depending on experience and network. 5% commission on first-year PPM revenue, paid quarterly once contracts are live.
