Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for a European Export Operator to join their office in Heywood.
Duties:
- Quoting customers directly freight costs for their requirements
- Liaising with our Barcelona partner in order to supply high level customer services to our customers
- Trailer load planning
- Arranging and performing UK customs for exporting
- Liaising with UK hauliers to arrange collections back to their facility
- Building and developing relationships not only with customs but also overseas partners
- Full training and career development provided
- Helping our French/German/Portugal/rest of Spain department when quite or holiday/sickness cover
Requirements:
- Experience in freight forwarding an advantage but not essential
- Proficiency with IT including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent data entry skills with good attention to detail
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with partner, customers and hauliers
- Ability to work together within a team environment while also being self-motivated
- Strong organisational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
