Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for a General Freight Forwarder to join their office in Hull. The role involves:
- Completion of end-to-end forwarding activities.
- Following strict and time sensitive SOPs/KPIs to ensure compliance.
- Working closely with internal and external customers, focusing on customer service.
- Using Cargo Wise / MS Office as requested.
- Ensuring invoicing, job costing, and milestones are updated within the required timeframe.
- Month end department compliance.
- Customs Entries and cost control.
- Assisting team colleagues where required.
- Ensuring all reports, including internal and customer specific, are completed within the deadline.
- Resolving queries from customers and suppliers.
- Adopting Best Practice models.
- Working closely with the Operations Manager for internal and external rates reviews.
- Maintaining contact with customers and suppliers to build relationships.
- Participating in customer reviews when required to enhance visibility and relationships with customers.
- Assisting sales and management with customer development.
- Maintaining a clean desk policy.
- Operating within the company's QA system.
- Performing any other tasks as directed by their supervisor or Line Manager.
