We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Executive to join a high-performing Finance team within a fast-paced, customer-focused business operating in the travel sector. This is not a standard Accounts Payable role — it’s a key position that plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, driving process improvement, and supporting complex, multi-entity financial operations.
Role Overview
You will take ownership of the purchase ledger and creditor processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments across a high-volume, multi-currency environment. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll also contribute to month-end reporting, reconciliations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accounts Payable Executive:
- Full ownership of supplier payments and aged creditor management
- Intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities
- End-to-end credit card reconciliations with full audit compliance
- BSP (Billing & Settlement Plan) reconciliation and coordination with industry stakeholders
- Ownership of payment accuracy, ledger integrity, and financial controls
- Identification and implementation of process improvements and automation opportunities
- Support with month-end close, reporting, and audit preparation
- Act as escalation point for complex supplier and payment queries
Key Performance Indicators
- Accuracy and timeliness of supplier payments
- Reduction in aged creditors and unresolved balances
- On-time completion of BSP and credit card reconciliations
- Improvement in processing times and reduction of manual errors
- High-quality month-end reporting and financial support delivery
About You:
- Proven experience in a Senior AP or Ledger Controller role
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and ERP system experience
- Experience in travel/tourism or BSP environments highly advantageous
- High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
- Confident working with complex, high-volume financial data
