Top Recruit is working with an established travel business to recruit an experienced Event Travel Manager to join its growing M&E team.
A great opportunity for someone with group, events or corporate travel experience who enjoys managing multiple projects, building client relationships and delivering excellent service.
The Role
Manage multiple small to medium-sized group air programmes, covering up to 600 passengers per month.
Act as the main point of contact for a dedicated client, working closely with clients, delegates, airlines and internal teams.
Manage the full travel journey, from enquiry and quotation through to booking, ticketing, travel and reconciliation.
Coordinate air and rail travel, ensuring everything runs smoothly and to deadline.
Lead weekly client kick-off calls and manage travel requirements.
Work closely with the Group Air Team, Team Manager, Operations Director and wider Meetings & Events team.
Negotiate with airlines and suppliers to secure competitive fares and maximise revenue.
Prepare proposals, quotations and destination feasibility studies, with occasional involvement in client pitches.
Manage budgets and ensure accurate financial reconciliation.
Provide occasional support with online booking tools and user queries.
Travel to and support events on-site when required.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue through group air programmes, service fees, mark-ups and upselling. What We're Looking For
Experience in event travel, group travel, corporate travel or a TMC/agency.
Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
Commercially aware, with experience of margins, mark-ups and supplier negotiation.
Strong attention to detail and confident project management skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
