Supportive Leadership | Valued Voice | Better Pay

If you’re a Children’s Residential Registered Manager (or an experienced Deputy ready to step up), you already know the pressures of the role. You carry responsibility. You spin multiple plates. You fight for standards.

What you may be looking for now is something different:

  • A genuinely supportive team
  • Better pay that reflects your responsibility
  • To feel valued and listened to
  • A manageable workload with realistic expectations

This opportunity in Nelson offers exactly that.

About the Organisation

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established care group that firmly believes the needs and welfare of children must always come first. The organisation already operates an alternative provision and is now strategically expanding to open a children’s residential care home in Nelson. This growth is carefully planned and values-led, with a clear focus on delivering high-quality, child-centred care.

You will work alongside an experienced and highly supportive Responsible Individual, providing professional guidance, oversight and collaborative leadership, ensuring you feel supported rather than pressured in your role.

What You’ll Gain:

  • £55,000 salary
  • A supportive, experienced leadership team
  • The opportunity to build and shape your own team
  • Realistic expectations and a manageable workload
  • Autonomy with strong backing

What You’ll Need:

  • Level 5 Diploma (or working towards)
  • Experience in children’s residential care
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted and safeguarding
  • A child-centred, resilient leadership style

This is your opportunity to lead a home where you feel supported, respected and properly rewarded, while creating meaningful outcomes for children.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Many Registered Managers stay in roles where they feel:

  • Overstretched
  • Undervalued
  • Under-supported
  • Financially under-recognised

This role is different. It offers the chance to:

  • Lead with purpose
  • Be supported, not scrutinised
  • Build a home you’re proud of
  • Work for a group where children genuinely come first
  • Feel valued for the leadership you bring

If you’re ready for a positive next step, let’s talk.
