We are looking for a high-caliber Class 2 HIAB Driver who prioritises safety and professional service. SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Annual Salary: £23.30ph (Umbrella Rate - This rate includes employers NI, apprenticeship levy, and holiday pay)
- Plus overtime paid at time and a half
- Working Week: Monday to Friday (Early starts: 06:00 - 07:00)
- Annual Leave: 25 Days + Bank Holidays
- Job Security: Full-time, Temp ongoing Contract
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Manoeuvring: Managing multi-drop deliveries of building materials using lorry-mounted loaders (HIAB).
- Load Security: Ensuring all goods are safely loaded, secured, and distributed according to industry regulations.
- Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to EU Road Transport Regulations, Driver Hours, and Health & Safety legislation.
- Vehicle Integrity: Maintaining the fleet through rigorous daily walk-around checks and reporting.
- Professional Representation: Providing a top-tier customer experience for both trade and retail clients.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Credentials: Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (Category C), CPC, and Digital Tacho card.
- Certification: Current accredited HIAB certification is mandatory.
- Track Record: Minimum 12 months of HGV experience with recent tacho-recorded driving.
- Skillset: Expertise in multi-drop logistics and a deep understanding of WTD Regulations.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Reading area and the builders' merchant industry is highly beneficial.
