HGV II Hiab Driver required in Wickford, Essex.
We are looking for a reliable and professional HGV II HIAB Driver to join our client, a well-established logistics company.
Monday to Friday – 4/6am starts
Hours – 45 Hours per week
Salary – £37,000K plus H & S bonus scheme every 100 days £300.
£1,300 a year added for good performance
Overtime time and a half
Annual Leave – 20 days plus bank holidays
Steel delivery experience desirable but not essential

THE ROLE
You will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of steel products to customers and depots.
Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate articulated vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.
Requirements:
Valid Class C+E (Class 1) driving license.
A minimum Class 2 HGV driving licence (ideally clean) with Driver Qualification Card/Driver CPC.
A minimum of 2 years HGV driving experience ideally including 90 days tachograph recorded driving in the last 180 days, with current/working Digi/tacho card.
Have a positive approach to Health & Safety.
Good understanding of Driver Hours & WTD Regulations.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
