The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of waste bags and recycling materials from commercial and domestic customers. You will represent the company professionally while ensuring all collections are completed to schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily waste and recycling collections across designated routes
- Use the HIAB hook and grab to safely and efficiently collect waste
- Ensure waste bags are collected safely and efficiently
- Complete vehicle safety checks and defect reports
- Maintain accurate collection records and paperwork
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Comply with all road transport regulations and company health & safety procedures
- Keep vehicles clean, safe, and roadworthy
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Valid OR Expired HIAB qualification
- Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
