We are seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Container Drivers to work alongside one of our well established clients in Manchester. The role involves transporting across the country, ensuring timely and safe deliveries, and adhering to all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport containers short and long distance.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
- Ensure all deliveries are accompanied by signed Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
- Operate within the Working Time Directive (WTD) and Driver's Hours regulations.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no serious offences such as DR, CD, IN).
- Minimum 2 years of experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles, with container haulage experience.
- Port/Dock cards may be required.
