We're looking for an experienced Overhead Crane Operator / Bandsaw Operative to join a busy steel environment in Wednesbury.
What You'll Do
- Operate overhead cranes to unload goods and load material onto saws
- Run and maintain bandsaws, including blade changes and lubrication
- Measure materials accurately using tape measures and rulers
- Handle loading/unloading when required
- Keep delivery notes and job records updated
- Wrap, label and prepare material for dispatch
- Support customer collections and carrier shipments
- Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow all H&S procedures
- Work as part of the team and support new starters
What You Need
- 2+ years steel industry experience
- 1+ year bandsaw experience
- 1+ year overhead crane experience
- Good basic numeracy
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Team player with a reliable work ethic
