This role is suited to a commercially driven, data‑led ecommerce leader based on the South Coast, with some flex after the first few months (1 day per week work‑from‑home). It is a full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday position within a direct‑to‑consumer retail business with a strong international footprint, headquartered in West Sussex.

Overview

Leading the UK‑based ecommerce team, you will drive growth across the UK, Europe, USA and other international markets. You will own performance and strategic growth initiatives, ensuring outstanding customer experiences while scaling international ecommerce performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the UK ecommerce team with plans to grow beyond 4 members.
  • Own and execute growth strategies across multiple markets, focusing on KPIs and data‑driven decision making.
  • Work with Shopify Plus, GA4 and performance marketing to optimise spend and ROI.
  • Collaborate with digital, operations and product teams in a fast‑growing, digitally‑led organisation.
  • Mentor, coach and inspire the team; manage people and resources for high performance.
  • Take a hands‑on role in the first 6‑12 months to refine processes and drive change.

Qualifications

  • Proven senior ecommerce leadership experience in retail, ideally direct‑to‑consumer or inventory‑led.
  • Strong track record of delivering significant ecommerce growth, including international expansion.
  • Hands‑on experience with Shopify Plus and performance marketing.
  • Data‑driven mindset with GA4 expertise, focusing on optimisation of spend and returns.
  • Confident people leader able to mentor and develop a growing team.
  • Willingness to work closely with global teams; retail expertise over product‑specific knowledge.
  • Open to candidates stepping up from Head of Ecommerce or Head of Digital.
