An excellent opportunity for an experience Bench Joiner to join a well-established company based in Braintree specialising in high quality bespoke woodwork for residential and commercial projects. We have a reputation for craftmanship and attention to detail and we are looking for a skilled Carpenter/Bench joiner to join our team. Job title Bench Joinery As a Bench Joiner you will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of high-quality joinery items from Box sash windows, doors, reception desks. Our clients range for builders, pubs, Cathedrals to residential homes. Manufacturing and assemble bespoke joinery items from technical drawings and cutting lists, Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively. Working both with Hardwood, Softwoods and sheet materials. Ensuring all work is completed to company and client specifications ensuring high quality in the finished product. You will be working collaboratively with colleagues in the workshop and on occasion on site. It is also important that you maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience as a bench joinery or carpenter in a workshop environment Experience working with woodworking machinery. Knowledge of Joinery techniques and how to use woodworking machinery Ability to read work from drawings or cutting lists. Attention to detail and craftmanship Reliability and a team player. What we offer is a Full time Permanent Position £16 to £20 per hour based on experience 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. (Overtime maybe available) 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (with 3 days to be taken at Christmas Shut down.) Free On- site parking Working hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but starting time can be flexible for earlier start and earlier finish.
