Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a fully qualified electrician to join our team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and fault-finding works across domestic, commercial, and industrial environments. This role requires a high standard of workmanship, a strong understanding of current regulations, and the flexibility to travel across our coverage areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Domestic Work
- Full and partial electrical installations in residential properties
- Consumer unit replacements and upgrades
- Fault finding and repairs
- Electrical testing and inspection (EICRs)
- Installation of lighting, sockets, switches, and appliances
- Ensuring all work complies with current regulations and safety standards
- Electrical installations in offices, retail units, schools, and other commercial premises
- Planned and reactive maintenance
- Emergency lighting installation and testing
- Fire alarm wiring and associated electrical works
- Electrical testing, inspection, and certification
- Fault diagnosis and remedial works
- Electrical installations within industrial units and factories
- Wiring of distribution boards, control panels, and machinery
- Three-phase systems
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Fault finding on industrial electrical systems
- Strict adherence to site safety procedures and risk assessments
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
- Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
- Completing job reports, test certificates, and documentation accurately
- Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude when representing the company
- Communicating effectively with clients, site managers, and team members
- Ensuring tools and equipment are used safely and maintained correctly
Essential Requirements
- Fully qualified electrician
- All relevant electrical qualifications (including 18th Edition)
- Proven experience in domestic, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work
- Willingness to travel across the West and East Midlands
- Own transport and a full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and quality of workmanship
Desirable (but not essential)
- ECS Gold Card
- IPAF certification
