What you'll be doing

  • You'll be the driving force behind product quality and safety across the site, working closely with suppliers and leading a well-equipped quality team.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Leading and managing the quality team
    • Training staff on quality standards, processes, and product specifications
    • Implementing and monitoring quality control systems and procedures
    • Maintaining active grower communications—celebrating the good and addressing the challenges
    • Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness
    • Ensuring compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, BRC, customer protocols)
    • Supporting internal and external audits (BRC, retailer audits)
    • Ensuring all produce meets customer, retailer, and legislative specifications
    • Maintaining accurate inspection, rejection, and corrective action records
    • Collaborating with procurement, production, warehouse, commercial teams, and suppliers
    • Identifying and escalating quality issues, driving corrective actions
    • Providing regular quality performance reports and recommending improvements
    • Contributing to supplier performance reviews and product specification updates

Education & Experience

  • HACCP Level 3 Lead Auditor qualification (advantageous but not essential)
