Purpose of the role: The Depot Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the Aberdeen depot, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The primary responsibilities involve managing and auditing the operational aspects, including delivery routing, stock control, productivity, and ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Depot Operations: Oversee all depot activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Plan and manage workloads, routes, and schedules to meet service requirements
- Monitor performance against KPIs, budgets, and operational targets
- Ensure depot facilities, equipment, and vehicles are maintained to required standards
- Lead, motivate, and manage depot staff, including drivers and operational teams
- Promote a positive safety culture and high standards of conduct
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and industry regulations
- Carry out risk assessments and implement safe systems of work
- Ensure all staff receive appropriate training, inductions, and toolbox talks
- Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections

You must have or hold:
- Proven experience in depot management within fuel sector or previous management experience (Essential)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of fleet management systems
- Driving Licence
Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
