Toomey Motor Group—one of the largest and most successful automotive retailers in Essex—is expanding! We are thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new franchise opening in Q4 at our Basildon site, and we are now recruiting for two key leadership positions.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a new brand launch from day one, build your own team, and lead a high-performing dealership backed by a trusted and established automotive group.

Key Responsibilities (General Sales Manager)
- Lead and motivate a team of Sales Executives
- Drive new and used vehicle sales performance
- Maximise profitability through service plans and add‑on products
- Coordinate with Aftersales to deliver outstanding customer experience
- Host marketing and off‑site sales events
Key Responsibilities (Assistant Sales Manager)
- Support the GSM in leading the sales team
- Drive sales processes with hands‑on leadership
- Develop team performance and customer engagement
- Play a key role in launching and growing the new brand
What We’re Looking For (Both Roles)
- Proven track record in automotive sales (management experience required for GSM, supervisory experience preferred for ASM)
- Strong leadership and customer‑focused mindset
- Ambition to build and grow a new brand
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 1 year
- 5‑day week across Monday–Saturday (with Sunday/bank holiday rota)
- Monday–Friday 9:00–18:00 | Saturday 8:30–17:30 | Sunday/Bank Holidays 10:00–16:00
