About the Role
Toomey Motor Group is seeking an experienced and driven General Sales Manager to lead our sales team and contribute to the continued success of our Omoda & Jaecoo dealership in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated automotive sales professional with a proven track record in leadership and performance management within the motor industry. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years successful history as a General Sales Manager and previously worked in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Sales Executives to achieve and exceed goals.
- Drive vehicle sales performance and maximise profitability.
- Maintain and manage an effective customer and sales diary system.
- Liaise closely with the service department to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
- Organise and represent the business at off-site promotional and sales events.
- Monitor sales processes, customer satisfaction, and team performance to ensure high standards are maintained.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a General Sales Manager within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to deliver sales growth and achieve targets.
- Full UK driving licence. Candidates holding only a provisional licence cannot be considered due to company insurance requirements.

5-day working week
Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm
