Senior Store Assistant (keyholder) in Letchworth

20 hours per week

We are looking for candidates who live locally and can easily commute to our store. Our stores are open from 7 AM to 8 PM, so you must be able to manage early starts and late finishes.

What you’ll do

  • Be the friendly face of Toolstation, helping customers find what they need, and be hands-on with deliveries, warehouse tasks, and stocking shelves.
  • Be prepared to roll up your sleeves in hot summers and chilly winters while delivering great customer service.
  • Support colleagues to deliver a great customer experience; retail experience is beneficial, but not essential if you can demonstrate related supervisory or keyholder responsibilities.
  • Handle deliveries, unpack stock, keep the store clean, and prepare orders. Hard work and a positive attitude are valued.
  • Provide outstanding service by engaging with customers and maintaining efficiency during busy times.
  • Ask the right questions and show genuine interest in customers\’ projects to help them find everything they need.
  • Be proactive in selling Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts and sign customers up to experience great deals and competitive prices.
  • Keyholder responsibility: open and close the store, assign daily tasks to the team, and provide short-term supervisory cover when needed.
