Store Assistant – Newcastle – Scotswood Road
Position: 16 hours per week. Store opens 7 AM – 8 PM; you should be able to manage early starts and late finishes and commute locally.
We are looking for candidates who live locally and can come to work on a consistent basis. On the back of a growth‑oriented culture, many of our managers began as Store Assistants and now run their own stores or oversee operations.
No retail experience? No problem. We ask only that you are committed to delivering excellent customer service and will teach you everything else you need.
Responsibilities
- Handle deliveries, unpack stock, keep the store clean and prepare orders.
- Provide outstanding service to customers during busy times.
- Ask the right questions to understand customer projects and help them find the right solutions.
- Sell the benefits of Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts, signing customers up to secure great deals and competitive prices.
- Carry out warehouse tasks, stock shelves and other hand‑on duties.

- Reliability: punctual and available when needed.

- Energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn (no experience required).
