This job is for a Senior Store Assistant (keyholder) in Newcastle Scotswood Road, working 24 hours per week. We are looking for candidates who live locally and can commute easily to our store. The store is open from 7 AM to 8 PM, so you must manage early starts and late finishes.
You’ll be the friendly face of Toolstation, helping customers find what they need and handling deliveries, warehouse tasks, stocking shelves, and other duties. The role includes accountability for supporting colleagues to deliver a great customer experience. Retail experience is not essential, but you will need experience as a key holder or supervising team members.
Daily responsibilities:- Handle deliveries, unpack stock, keep store clean, and prepare orders.
- Offer outstanding customer service during busy times.
- Sell the benefits of Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts, signing customers up.
- Open and close the store, assign daily tasks to the team, and provide short-term supervisory cover when needed.
- A friendly personality, maintaining high store standards and creating a welcoming workplace.
- Reliability – be there when needed with flexibility, commitment and support for customers and team.
