We are looking for candidates who live locally and can easily commute to our store. Our stores are open from 7 AM to 8 PM, so you must be able to manage early starts and late finishes.
Responsibilities
- Present a friendly, approachable face to customers, helping them find products and advice.
- Handle deliveries, unpack stock, keep the store clean and prepare order packs.
- Participate in warehouse tasks and stock shelves, maintaining high store standards.
- Support and supervise colleagues to deliver a great customer experience (must have experience as a keyholder or supervising team members).
- Open and close the store, assign daily tasks to the team and provide short‑term supervisory cover when needed.
- Sell Toolstation Club and Trade Account benefits, and sign customers up for these programmes.
- Show genuine interest in customers’ projects, ask the right questions to match solutions.
- Maintain positive attitude, proactive approach, reliability, flexibility, and accountability.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Previous experience as a keyholder or team supervisor preferred, though not essential.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, energy, enthusiasm, and the capacity to work hard in a fast‑paced environment.
