About the Opportunity
Operations Lead in Manchester/Liverpool, responsible for ensuring World’s operations run reliably and efficiently at Orb locations in one of our UK markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day‑to‑day operational performance of Orb locations, ensuring strong execution, compliance, and a high‑quality user experience.
- Support site launches and expansion by coordinating installations, ensuring launch readiness, and ramping locations to stable operation.
- Onboard, train, and support a network of Operators and site staff, driving accountability and consistent operational standards.
- Collaborate with Logistics and Central Operations to ensure timely delivery, installation, maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Drive performance across all locations, improving key metrics such as uptime, site readiness, and Operator effectiveness.
- Establish and continuously improve installation, maintenance, and operational processes to increase reliability and scalability.
- Use data and field insights to monitor performance, identify issues, and prioritise improvements.
- Identify operational risks (e.g. downtime, setup issues, compliance gaps) and proactively implement solutions.
- Deliver in‑person and remote Operator training to ensure consistent execution and reduce dependence on reactive support.
- Act as the on‑the‑ground point of coordination between central teams and local execution, ensuring priorities are delivered reliably.
About You
- 3–6 years of experience in operations, field operations, installations, or site‑based environments, ideally in technology, logistics, micromobility, or other fast‑paced industries.
- Proven experience working across multiple locations or sites, ensuring consistent execution and performance.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to work effectively with Operators, store staff, and external partners.
- Comfortable in hands‑on, on‑the‑ground environments, solving problems and troubleshooting issues in real time.
- Detail‑oriented and reliable, with a strong focus on operational quality, safety, and compliance.
- Resourceful and adaptable, able to operate independently in fast‑moving and ambiguous environments.
- Based in or near Manchester or Liverpool, with willingness to travel frequently across the region.
