We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our growing engineering team at our leading food manufacturing facility. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all production and site equipment runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. This role is ideal for a maintenance engineer with either mechanical and electrical skills, who enjoys problem‑solving and working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects and reliability initiatives.
- Working closely with the production team to optimise equipment performance.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and site engineering standards.
- Recording all work carried out using the site maintenance system.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, or Multi‑Skilled Engineer.
- Strong fault‑finding skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Recognised engineering qualifications.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, FMCG, food, or industrial environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
