We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of complex electrical and automation projects in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in controls and automation or manufacturing, who can combine technical understanding with commercial awareness and team leadership.
As an Electrical Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of multiple projects, working closely with clients, internal engineering teams, and site‑based staff to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of electrical and automation projects, from initial client engagement through to delivery and project closeout. You will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for repeat business and service expansion.
This position requires a confident Electrical Engineering Manager who can operate autonomously, manage competing priorities, and lead from the front in both technical and commercial discussions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and deliver multiple electrical and automation projects with values up to £2M
- Take ownership of client relationships, acting as the main point of contact throughout project delivery
- Manage client requirements and develop commercially viable solutions, including quoting projects
- Plan and coordinate labour resources, working closely with lead electricians and engineering teams
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, in full, and within budget
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Electricians, including performance reviews and ongoing development
- Ensure all health & safety requirements are met and maintained across projects
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Commercial awareness, including budgeting and cost control
- Experience working in a client‑facing, account management capacity
- Background in managing electrical teams or site‑based engineers
